Mat graduated from University of Lincolnshire in 1997 and spent time as a Civil Servant in the Land Registry before qualifying as a solicitor jn 2007.
Whilst dealing with a wide range of matters, such as Conveyancing, Private Client, Wills and Probate, Mat particularly enjoys dealing with Commercial Property work, and Leases for both Landlords and Tenants.
Outside of work, he “enjoys” watching Everton FC, running and reading but not at the same time.
Mark graduated from Sheffield University, 'some time ago', and has practiced as a solicitor since 1990. Mark deals with a range of matters including Conveyancing, Commercial Conveyancing, Business Matters including buying and selling businesses, Commercial Leases for both Landlords and Tenants, Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
He is a lifelong Liverpool FC fan and particularly enjoys the post-match discussions with Mat. As a former President and Honorary Secretary of the Cheshire and North Wales Law Society, Mark remains and active member of the Law Society Committee.
Liz started with Taylor Brown in November 2018. She brings with her a wealth of administration and management experience from a variety of business sectors including Finance, Construction, Oil & Gas and Law. An entrepreneur at heart she has also run two of her own successful small business, before deciding to go back to University, graduating with a BA(Hons) English & Creative Writing.
As Practice Manager, Liz works predominantly behind the scenes at Taylor Brown Solicitors supporting all areas of the business to ensure that our Solicitors are free to offer you the best possible service in managing your case. Some of the areas covered include finance, HR and facilities.
Amy graduated from Bangor University in 2013 (LLB) and then with a first class Masters Degree in International Law with Human Rights in 2014 (LLM). She qualified as a solicitor in January 2018. Her work within Taylor Brown includes residential conveyancing, wills and probate, court of protection and lasting powers of attorney.
Amy is one of the co-fundraisers and sponsorship representatives for the Cheshire and North Wales Junior Lawyers Division for 2018-2019. Her passions outside of work include Disney and Harry Potter and she has been to Walt Disney World and Disney Land Paris many times, in short, she just loves all things Disney! She also worked at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of Universal Orlando Resort during the Summer of 2012. She also enjoys going to the cinema and catching up with her friends.
Lydia joined Taylor Brown in November 2019 as an admin assistant, and is now a Paralegal taking on her own case files, working alongside Amy in the Residential Conveyancing Team. She graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2018 with a First Class Honours in Politics. She is now completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Law with BPP Law School, and hopes to qualify as a solicitor in the coming years.
Outside of work Lydia always has a crochet project to hand, and loves to walk her two black pugs Eddie & Winnie. She also loves a good political debate, but be careful because she can get passionate!
PA to the Directors
Nina joined the firm in April 2019 progressing to her role as PA to the Directors in April 2020. Nina brings a vast amount of experience in Conveyancing having worked with Solicitors for most of her career.
Her work involves working closely with the two partners assisting in all Conveyancing and Probate matters. In addition Nina is responsible for the SDLT and Land Registry applications and any issues arising.
Nina enjoys a good Netflix binge and spending time with family and friends.
Jonathan graduated in 2018 from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA Hons LLB, He then completed the LPC with a commendation focusing primarily on corporate and commercial law and intellectual property. Jonathan taught law at a sixth form college for a year before coming to Taylor Brown as a paralegal.
Outside of work, like Mark, Jonathan is a lifelong Liverpool fan. He loves all things cars and is a huge fan of Formula 1 racing having been to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix a number of times. Although he’s no Bradley Wiggins he has done several charity events including cycling 50km around the Wirral peninsula in the middle of the night.
